Junior Lawyers

Keystone employs a team of junior lawyers and, in addition, some of our lawyers choose to recruit their own paralegal, trainee or junior lawyer, employing them through their personal service company. All junior lawyers, whether employed by a lawyer or by the firm, are valuable members of the firm, and benefit from the many opportunities that come with being a part of Keystone.

WHY IS KEYSTONE A GREAT FIRM TO JOIN AS A JUNIOR LAWYER?

Keystone has an excellent reputation

Keystone is a Top 100, full-service law firm with over 400 senior lawyers. The Lawyer awarded Keystone ‘Law Firm of the Year 2020’ and RollOnFriday awarded us ‘Firm of the Year 2021’. Our lawyers are ranked in Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500 year after year.

Work closely with experts and undertake challenging work

Keystone’s Partners and Consultants are experts in their fields, having spent years at leading law firms before joining the firm. This means that Keystone juniors are working with, and learning from, market-leading specialists. Keystone covers 25 practice areas and 19 industry sectors. Keystone juniors receive a high level of responsibility, direct client contact and the opportunity to work on technically challenging matters.

Career development

All Keystone juniors with up to 3 years’ PQE have access to our in-house training academy, with monthly training sessions on legal topics and soft skills training. They are also invited to our monthly CPD sessions, can request additional individual training and have a dedicated mentor.

Location

Keystone’s technology enables our senior lawyers to work from any location, and often junior positions may require the person to be based at their chosen office to benefit from increased interaction, although remote working is also possible.

Many of our junior lawyers work from Keystone’s offices on Chancery Lane, surrounded by others at the same level enjoying a friendly, supportive, and sociable environment.

The unique Keystone culture

All Keystone juniors receive a warm welcome to the firm and are encouraged to join in the many social events held throughout the year. They are part of a collegiate and friendly law firm where every effort is made to make everyone feel included. RollOnFriday awarded Keystone ‘Happiest Law Firm in the UK’ in 2021!

Facilities and support

Keystone juniors can rely on the enthusiastic and efficient support offered by Central Office, including our bespoke IT platform “Keyed-In”, and assistance from our business support teams. Read more about these here.
